New: Diary
When starting a new game or loading a save and entering Ren’s apartment, a short event will trigger where Ren finds her diary. After that, she unlocks the ability to write about what happens to her during her day-to-day life.Ren will only write in her diary before going to sleep, and only if she experienced a new event during the day. The diary is an item that can be opened from the inventory. In future updates, I’ll be adding more and more diary pages for the remaining events.Waitress Job Continuation
The poll winner! We continue Ren’s waitress storyline, this time involving a bar.For this continuation, I didn’t want to reuse the same drink delivery minigame from before, so I created a brand-new one. Now NPCs will come to the bar counter, and Ren has to serve them the correct drinks. For each customer successfully served, she earns extra tips.In this bartender continuation, there is:
- A new scene after completing 3 shifts at the bar
- A new social media post
Bestiary and New Map Area
Something I’ve wanted to add for a long time: the Bestiary, called the Cryptid Journal in-game.
It’s basically a record where Ren keeps track of all the enemies she has defeated. It unlocks after a nighttime event in Sector A.Instead of just adding it randomly, I created a full story for how Ren gets it. This event activates a quest that takes her through a completely new section of the game, including:
- A bunch of new maps
- New NPCs
- New enemies
- A new boss
- New items
- New side quests
I don’t like putting spoilers in these posts, so I’ll stop there, but there is seriously a lot of new content in just this event alone.Important note: The Bestiary will automatically unlock bosses you’ve already defeated up to that point, but not regular enemies. You’ll need to revisit dungeons and defeat those enemies again to register them.Second note: The mission “Cryptids and Other Strange Things!” cannot be fully completed in this version. That’s because I plan to add more enemies in the future. Only the optional objective can be completed right now. Also yes, in this version, quests now support optional objectives. Wow.Two New Random Events
In previous posts and polls, I’ve mentioned “Random Events.” By this, I mean events not tied to any main route, like the arcade or pool events. In this version, I’ve added two of them, each with different rewards and even new ways to earn money.
- Near where the previous event activates, but during the morning, you’ll find a girl training. This triggers the new quest “Running Is Harder Than Vidya?” This quest takes you to a new section of the game.
While the map itself is finished, it doesn’t have NPCs yet. I have big plans for this area in the future, so for now it’s a bit incomplete.
There, Mira challenges Ren to a new minigame. If you beat her three times, you’ll earn new shoes and 2 new CGs.
- Lastly, when Ren is pregnant and in Sector B at night, you can encounter a strange man.
He gives Ren a new mission that leads to:
- A new minigame
- New CGs
- A new way to earn money, only available during pregnancy
As I mentioned before, I plan to add random events all over the game. Some will continue in future updates, and others will be one-off events. The idea is to have more content outside of the main routes.New NPCs
This update adds Four new NPCs that appear throughout the new events and areas.Autobattles
In this version, I’ve also added a new mechanic: Autobattles.By pressing the dash button, Shift by default, during combat, you can speed up battles to a super fast pace. While autobattle is active, Ren will automatically use basic attacks, offensive skills, and healing or buff abilities.
You can configure which type skills are used during autobattle in the options menu.
