Bad Memories
Game Description:
Years ago you left your hometown after some bad events happened and you swore to never come back. As time goes by you manage to build a normal and successful life and all the bad memories start to faint and become foggy.
Your childhood became a mess, when your mom died when you were still a child, at the same time your father started drinking and seeing woman… differently. When he found a new girlfriend, things slowly began to get out of hand.
But that wasn’t the only thing that changed.
As a witness to that lifestyle, you too did stupid things like fighting with other kids, you had trouble in school and problems with the law more then once, though you never crossed “the line”.
After your dad died, you hoped that things would change for the better, but instead they got worse, so you left your hometown and swore to never come back.
As time went on, you’ve managed to build a somewhat normal life, and all the past memories that seemingly had started to fade became foggy at best.
But will it stay that way?

OR
to get it to open permanently follow the steps
For at least the most recent version, the Mac app won't open. There's a solution in the OP, but as it turns out, there's a better solution (at least this worked for me.)
Open terminal.
Paste (with a space at the end):For at least the most recent version, the Mac app won't open. There's a solution in the OP, but as it turns out, there's a better solution (at least this worked for me.)
Open terminal.
Paste (with a space at the end):
Code: xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine
Drag the app parent folder onto the terminal (or type in the path yourself), so you get something like:
Code: xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /Users//Games/Bad-Memories-0.8-market
Run that command. The app should now open properly every time without needing to locate and run the internal executable.
I didn't figure this out immediately because usually something that is quarantined gives a UI popup stating that the app cannot be opened. The app did do that on first run, but the usual fix (ctrl-open) didn't work.
Edit notes:- Updated to remove quarantine from all top level files and not just the Mac app launcher. This may help on some systems (not needed on mine but it's become my habit to do full folders for all new downloads).
